Vegan and Freaky

Welcome to veganfreaks. This is a site that we decided to launch so that we could have a place to write all those weird little odds and ends that come up as one goes through life as a vegan. Of course, this site is highly personal, but one could also think of it as instructional. For example, if you’re not a vegan yet, you can come here to learn the kinds of dumb things that omnivores will say to you if you become a vegan. To wit:

Hitler was a vegetarian.
Plants feel pain too. (this is one of my personal favorites)
Humans are made to eat meat.
What do you eat?

Yes, that’s just the start. Actually, since becoming vegans, it seems like Pleather and I are just some kind of dumb omnivore customer service center. We’re actually pretty patient (hey, most of us started out as meat eaters, right?) but it is getting to the point where I’m thinking about printing out FAQs on business cards so I can hand them out when people ask.
